One of the most memorable scenes I have watched in Toy Story 4 is perhaps the scene where Forky, a unique toy made by a boy named Bonnie, kept saying “I’m trash” and kept seeking out trash bins to jump into.

Though the scene is funny, it does get me thinking about how I do also at times battle with self-deprecating thoughts during trials and how I fail to appreciate how I am uniquely made by God. I was, well, like Forky.

You are uniquely made by God and He loves you. He will not let you throw yourself away.

If you do find yourself struggling with such negative thoughts, it might be a good time to evaluate the dialogue you have with yourself. You can gain insights into what you are saying to yourself and compare it to what God says about you through a simple self-talk audit quiz.
