Collection Drive for our Mirgrant Workers
— Collated from public domain at https://www.facebook.com/groups/2020nCrG as at 25 Feb 2020 —
A few of us at TEDxSingapore and Women In Asia have been wanting to see how we can contribute actively to this current covid-19 situation, especially for the more vulnerable communities like the migrant workers’ community. With one of the transmission clusters at a construction site, we want to help this community raise hygiene awareness and education about covdi-19. So that they play their part together too – to take all necessary precautions, and to exercise individual and collective responsibility.
Hence, launching this collection drive with the help of ImPAct@HongLimGreen! Donation drive of the items as listed below, and drop off would be at Impact Hong Lim Green. I would be coordinating distribution efforts with Amrakajona Zakir, founder of One Bag, One Book, or help pass on to dormitories. His first distribution would be this Sunday in Little India, hope we really hope to gather as much as possible for him!
This is a vulnerable and rough time for us as a community, yet it is also an opportunity for strength, resilience and kindness. Every effort counts, please reach out to me if anyone has any other ideas or leads!! (email@example.com) Together we can overcome ❤️ #SGUnited
