COVID-19 & Admittance Policy

Fueling Good

In light of Singapore’s effort to deal with COVID-19, Emmaus Strategies will be taking precautionary measures (with careful consideration to situational needs) in the interest of all our participants, staff, volunteers, partners and the community at large.
By submitting your registration and by attending the event, you agree with the following:
  1. Temperature Taking
    1. All participants may be required to have their temperature taken at the door.
    2. Anyone with a temperature > 37.5°C and/or are showing symptoms (e.g. cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, fever (>37.5oC) and/or sore throat or any other symptoms associated with COVID-19) will not be allowed to attend the event.
  2. Feeling Unwell –
    1. If the participant(s) is/are unwell, do inform us immediately.
    2. The participant(s) must refrain from attending the event and stay home to recuperate and/or seek medical attention.
    3. If he/she is unwell during the learning event, he/she should approach any members of the Emmaus team for assistance.
    4. If a participant becomes unwell before or during the event and (i) informs us as well as (ii) provides us with proof of a medical certificate by 3 working days after the event, we will process a 50% refund of the fees (if paid), less $20 administration fee.
  3. Travel History & Declaration –
    1. You declare that the participant(s) do not have any plans for travel AND have not travelled, within 14 days from the event, to countries reflected on the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) travel advisory1 or had not been on cruise(s): • All countries
    2. The participant(s) will be required to complete a “Fit-to-Attend” declaration on the following:
      Non-travel to countries on the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) travel advisoriesand had not been on cruise(s) in the last 14 days,
      Not on Leave of Absence, Quarantine Order or Stay Home Notice,
      Not having symptoms e.g. cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, fever (>37.5oC) and/or sore throat, AND
      No known close contact with vulnerable groups (e.g. individuals who travelled to countries reflected on the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) travel advisory1 in the last 14 days)/suspect cases.Where necessary, we may deny entry to the participant(s) and request them to return home to recuperate and/or seek medical attention.
    3. Contact Tracing – To facilitate contact tracing and to protect you, we may be required to release the names and contact details of participants to the event to the venue host using their prescribed form. You agree for us to release this information for contact tracing purposes.
    4. Good Personal Hygiene – The participant(s) will practice good personal hygiene, including proper handwashing, proper disposal of waste, covering their mouths & noses when coughing or sneezing.
    5. Event Cancellation – Depending on the developments of the situation, Emmaus Strategies may cancel the learning event when necessary and process the relevant refunds of fees paid (if any).

This policy will remain in force as long as the Ministry of Health’s DORSCON level is at orange or red.
We trust that these precautions will help us overcome COVID-19 as a community.
