Training Acceptance, Transfer & Refund Policy

Fueling Good

In order to facilitate planning, to ensure the appropriate allocation of resources and the successful run of the course, please do take note of the following policy.

Acceptance to Course

Confirmation of a place for the course is only upon the:

(1) successful and full payment of course fees as well as any outstanding payment due and payable by the applicant to Emmaus Strategies LLP (herein known as “Emmaus Strategies”) and

(2) receipt of a confirmation email/letter to the applicant from Emmaus Strategies.

Once accepted into the course, participants’ attendance at the course will indicate their agreement to

  • meet course pre-requisites (if any),
  • adhere to course schedules,
  • proper conduct to facilitate both their’s and their course mates’ learning,
  • not engage in harassment, aggression or abuse,
  • ensure appropriate and responsible use of resources as well as the facilities where the course is conducted,
  • respect the copyright of the course and its associated materials, as well as
  • attain the minimum course attendance and requirements, where applicable, for course completion and/or to be eligible for subsidies. In the event a participant does not fulfil the minimum course attendance or requirements, Emmaus Strategies will reserve the right to recover the unfunded portion of the course fee from the participant (for self-funded participants) or the participant’s organization (for organization-funded participants).
  • assist in the completion of any paperwork needed e.g. of feedback and claim forms, where applicable, for subsidies.

Transfer of Participation in Course

Should changes be needed to be made to replace learners, the applying organization will need to send a notice of transfer of participation to admin@emmaus.sg soonest possible, at least 3 working days before the course commencement. The learner will need to meet the eligibility criteria for the course, if any. We regret to inform that requests for replacement received thereafter will not be considered.

Rights of Course Provider

In the unlikely event of a need for changes to date, time and/or venue of the course,  Emmaus Strategies reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or make the necessary changes with due notice given to the participants. Every effort, however, will be made to inform you as soon as possible of the change.

In the unlikely event that the minimum workshop size is not being met for the workshop to commence, Emmaus Strategies reserves the right to cancel the course and refund back the course fee paid, less the administration fee of $20, to the participants.

Emmaus Strategies also reserves the right to cancel applications if the full payment is not received by the date due of the invoice.

Under no circumstances shall Emmaus Strategies be liable for any direct or indirect consequential or special damages as a result of the class/application cancellation. Emmaus Strategies shall not be liable for damages of any kind resulting from errors or omissions in its course materials nor shall Emmaus Strategies be liable for any damages resulting from the use of its course materials or other information conveyed at Emmaus Strategies delivered courses.

Late Payment of Invoice

Interest shall accrue on any late payment at a rate of 1.5% per month calculated on a daily basis from the due date of the relevant payment until the date of payment.

Refund Policy

The refund policy will be as follows for courses without accommodations for notices received by admin@emmaus.sg:

    • If notice of withdrawal is received more than 2 weeks before the course commencement:
      • 100% of aggregate amount of fees paid 
      • less (1) $20 administration fee and (2) any outstanding payment due and payable by the organization to Emmaus Strategies.
    • If notice of withdrawal is received less than 2 weeks but more than 1 week before the course commencement:
      • 50% of aggregate amount of fees paid
      • less (1) $20 administration fee and (2) any outstanding payment due and payable by the organization to Emmaus Strategies.
    • If notice of withdrawal is received less than 1 week before the course commencement:
      • 0% of aggregate amount of fees paid.

In view of the need to secure accommodations, the refund policy will be as follows for courses with accommodation for notices received by admin@emmaus.sg:

    • If notice of withdrawal is received more than 3 weeks before the course commencement:
      • 100% of aggregate amount of fees paid 
      • less (1) $20 administration fee and (2) any outstanding payment due and payable by the organization to Emmaus Strategies.
    • If notice of withdrawal is received less than 3 weeks but more than 2 weeks before the course commencement:
      • 50% of aggregate amount of fees paid
      • less (1) $20 administration fee and (2) any outstanding payment due and payable by the organization to Emmaus Strategies.
    • If notice of withdrawal is received less than 2 weeks before the course commencement:
      • 0% of aggregate amount of fees paid.

In the event of a breach of the terms of Acceptance to Course, Emmaus Strategies reserves the right to remove any participant from its course without refund.

Indemnity

By participating in the learning event, the learner and the participant’s organization(s) agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Emmaus Strategies LLP, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, and representatives from any and all third party claims, losses, liability, damages, and/or costs (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising from the participation in the learning event and the use of course materials.

Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

Please do note that there will be photography and/or videography during this course. Photos and audio-visual recordings will be used for internal reporting and for publicity purposes.

Updates to this Policy

In keeping with the smooth administration of courses, we may need to update, change or replace any part of this policy from time to time by posting updates and/or changes to our website.
